Hi! I'm Stef!
I grew up with a love for food and cooking but
somewhere along the way, the story changed and
food became something I feared and eating
something I dreaded. The world was telling
young girls they needed to look a certain way and
that meant eating less and shrinking inward.
That changed in 2021 when I started my blog,
@stefsdinnerdate as a way to reconnect with my
love for food and challenge those old beliefs.
Now I’m on a mission to help others fall in love with cooking.
I do that by developing recipes that work, with low-ingredient lists, minimal dishes and practical swaps, so you can use what you have and help reduce waste. I also share techniques to make you a better cook, so you can rely less on recipes and more on intuition.
Food is so much more than what we see on our plates. It’s a chance to get creative, connect and celebrate life’s moments — big or small. At the very least it’s the fuel you need to stay alive! It might as well be delicious.

What you'll find:
I test my recipes (many times) before I post them, so just know the ingredients list and instructions will yield a version that tastes best to me. But I encourage you to follow your heart — eyeball a measurement, skip an ingredient, or substitute something you have in your fridge versus going to the store. Because as much as I would love for you to make the recipe just the way I do, I know that’s not always possible and frankly, it’s probably not sustainable, either. At the very least I want you to be like, “hey, that recipe inspired me to make this!”
I'd love to hear
from you 🙂
I’m open to recipe development, catering and events, food photography and styling, writing opportunities, pop-ups +more.
